Fashionista of the day: My grandmother

Hey again y'all! Today I am starting a new segment called fashionista of the day, I will be featuring people I personally know, and even bloggers! If you are interested in being a featured fashionista please email me at diaryofmycloset@gmail.com, and I'll provide further details! Today's fashionista is none other than my grandmother, Sara! Now before you say how cheesy it is to talk about my grandmother let me just say she is probably the coolest, hippest person I know! She has super chic tennis outfits, she gets her monthly dose of Vogue,  and she started wearing Hermes Caleche perfume at the age of 14. I am featuring my grandmother because she is the one who has inspired bits and pieces of my style, she's the one who introduced me to the major designers, she showed me Ferragamo's intricate Italian leather, Christian Dior's always chic winter coats, she gave me my first strand of pearls when I was born, my first Louis Vuitton when I was two, and that it's okay to go to the clearance section because you never know when you'll find Jimmy Choo's 70% off at Saks. I asked my grandmother questions about her style, current trends, what inspires her, and other fashion related questions. Here is my interview with her.

" How would you describe your style?" "Casual"

"What do you think when you see fashion now? Does this years collections and clothes  remind you of any other year?" I don't know what this years collection looks like.

"Do you have a favorite designer?"  "I have always liked Adrienne vittadeene, because I have always liked her clothes."

"When you get dressed in the morning, what do you think when you pick out an outfit?"
"How comfortable will I be to be playing tennis in this?"

"What is one item in your closet that you just could never get rid of?"
"I actually have more than one. I cannot live without my Louis Vuittons and my Ferragamo's."

"Who introduced you to fashion?"
"My sisters."

"What is one trend you think will never go out of style?"
"The European classic cut."

"Do or did you have a fashion icon?"
"Jackie Kennedy, I have always liked her style. She's very classic."

"What recent trend do you absolutely hate?"
"I'm really not crazy about the hip hugger pants, I find them atrocious. I do however absolutely love platform shoes."

"Do you regret any outfits?"
"Bell bottom pants and mini skirts. Totally 60's."

"Did you follow all the major designers when you were younger?"
"Yeah, Givenchy, Christian Dior, and Gucci, I loved Gucci clothes, very colorful.

"Do you have a favorite quote, fashion related or not?"
"You are only as good as your tools, and your clothes and your shoes and your handbags."

"What fashion advice should every woman know?"
"Less is always  more."

"If you could buy any item regardless of price what would you buy?"
"Jewelry, without a doubt, you can always dress up or down an outfit with jewelry."
