Oh my gosh y'all! I am so excited about this trend because this summer I have been loving everything about anchor jewelry! Let me tell you why it's hot! 

Why anchor jewelry is trending? Honestly, websites like Pinterest and even tumblr do promote sales! I have noticed that recently a lot of my friends have been pinning all thing anchors! There are so many affordable options and cute fun colors with this trend! This trend is totally nautical!!

Okay, let me just say that I love the brand Dogeared! I have personally bought so many birthday gifts, Christmas presents, and necklaces for myself from them!! All of my friends wear there's regularly and I wear mine as well! So, this brand is definitely something to check out and refer to friends! I love the messages below the necklace, and the packaging makes this an easy gift! I literally stock up on these (in different styles of course) and  then when a birthday party comes around I already have a extra chic present! I love the message on this piece and I probably will buy this for myself or a close friend! You can pair this with anything!!!

An open letter to those who wouldn't mind sending some trendy people my way.

Dear to whom it may concern, (in this case,this includes anybody who can read a blog and likes fashion)

Are y'all even there? I'm totally new to this and I would love some  trendy blogging  friends! 

Here is a questionnaire I found on tumblr. And I am totally doing this just for fun. 

Y'all better enjoy. 

1. What was your dream career in kindergarten? Oh my gosh, when I was little I wanted to be a doctor/princess. 

2. What dessert do you eat the most? Haagen dasz mango sorbet. Guilty.

3. What country's have you been to? Panama, the Bahamas, Mexico, and Costa Rica. 

4. (This question is so random) Would you rather own a chinchilla or a fennec fox? A fennec fox, I'm scared of chinchillas y'all. 

5. What gifts did you receive your last birthday? Gift card to Saks, a dress from a local botique, Brad Goreskis book, YSL  tributes in sand, and Prada loafers. Best.birthday. Ever. 

6. How many people on Tumblr have you met in real life? Y'all I don't even have a Tumblr. Well, I do. I just forgot my password.

7. If you could wake up tomorrow having gained one quality what would it be? Definitely blake livelys closet. (Is that a legit quality?)

8. How did you celebrate last Halloween? Handing out candy and getting hit on by trick or treaters. Yup, I'm not kidding. 

9. Would you like go be famous? In what way? Yes, probably for having a fabulous fashion blog. That would make everything so amazing.

10. If you knew that you were going to die suddenly, would you change anything about the way you are living now? I would probably move to NYC and try to get a fabulous internship at vogue. 

11. Where you ever in a school play? What was your role? Did anything funny happen? Yes, I was Gretel. Let's just say, I might have tripped and leave it at that. 

12. Describe the last time you went to the zoo. It was hot, and I forgot to wear sunscreen. What can I say? I got sunburned.

14. If you could invent a new flavor of ice cream what would it be? How amazing would a cherry margarita ice cream be? I'm serious y'all, cherry margarita. 

15. If you had to move from where you live where would you go and what would you miss most? Well, I'm moving from Texas to Florida in about 2 weeks. But if I had a choice it would be NYC. I will miss Texas, because of all the friends I have here but I'll be super close to Miami y'all! How amazing is that! 

16. Is there something you've dreamed of doing? Why haven't you done it? I have totally dreamed of buying a Birkin. Y'all Birkins are 19,000 dollars, does that answer your question why I haven't done it yet? 

17. if you were to write a successful book in the near future, would it be fiction or non fiction? Probably non fiction. Just because I'm sassy. 

18. Would you rather live in a castle or a spaceship? Castle obviously. 

19. How many different places have you lived? 2.

20. What would you consider to be the biggest insult to yourself? Probably if someone said I need better fashion sense, I would go cry in my closet and buy an excess amount of shoes.

Trend of the day: Leather

Why it works? When I think of leather, think of Olivia Newton John and John Travolta singing "Your the one that I want" in the end of the movie Grease. I can't help but think about how the trend is back!! Leather is in y'all!! But please, if your going to go the route to pleather (as in fake leather) please remember that  there is a difference between leggings and leather jeans.

 Remember these rules: 

1.) Leggings are not pants, therefore a blouse over some leggings or jeggings (jean leggings) is unacceptable. For the love of God, if your going to wear jeans wear the real thing. 

2.) Pajama Jeans are not pants. Just because it has the word 'jeans' in there, that does not automatically make them in any way pants. 

3.) Bring along a truly honest friend for moral and critical support while shopping for a new pair of leather (or pleather) pants. 

Who's rockin' it?:

Heather Graham rocked a red leather dress. Perfect for a night out! 

Kristen Bell sported a laser cut black leather dress at the CMT Awards. 

Jessica Alba wore a neon pink leather jacket, and paired it with combat boots, über cute scarf, and a fedora. 

See y'all! You can totally look super trendy at the airport! While you don't have to wear pumps like Heidi Klum, you can wear comfortable flats, a splash of leopard and a leather jacket!

Trend of the day: Studded heels

Why it's trendy? Studded heels are this summers BIG trend! Super chic! Expect to see a lot of DIY's on Pinterest about Studded heels! It totally sasses up an outfit, designers and celebs are loving studded pumps!! 

Who's rockin' them? 

Emma Stone decided to spunk it up with Christian Louboutin spiked heels! 

Ginnifer Goodwin rocked a Valentino scalloped dress with red hot Louboutin studded heels! 

Diane Kruger definitely rocked it!! Love love love her shoes! While they may not be pumps, they are studded and these flats are perfect!

My thoughts on studded heels:

I am LOVING studded pumps!! I love how all three celebs styled them! I have been dying to buy some and I am currently looking for the perfect ones! I don't recommend buying them with a super high platform! 

Here are examples of the DONT's of studded pumps: I repeat these are DONT's!!!

Ok, these studded pumps from Charlotte Russe might have trends like color blocking and studs, but these are wrong on so many levels. Even though they are $19.00, I recommend something with a lower platform, and a pump that you can style with different outfits! Please avoid rushing to buying these in outrageous colors, neutral colors are easier to work with for this trend!!

LADIES!! If you are going to be rockin' studded heels, PLEASE remember that these are way more fringey than studdy! The fringe overwhelms the design. Trust me, there are affordable chic studded pumps, it's just that these are not them!

 Not only are these shoes wrong on so many levels, the description said "back luck" instead of what I think they meant to say "bad luck". And yes, these shoes probably are bad luck, no shoe should ever be called "irregular choice disco pants-green". That sounds horrible. Please please don't spend $189 on these. I beg you. 

The DO's of studded pumps:

These Zara studded cap pumps are PERFECT!! They are adorbs, and only $100! There are so many options with this shoe! 

Okay, these are everything!! I am OBSESSED! This is basically the black version of the red shoe that Ginnifer Goodwin that I showed y'all before. These Loubi's are perfect!! I am in love. 

Need I say more? Brian Atwood rocked it. These are extra classy, I could see Zoe  Saldana or Emma stone in these. Brian Atwood was born to make perfect shoes, and for that he might just be one of my favorite designers. 

I just adore these. Need I say more? 

And now, I present you probably the best thing I have seen, 

OH MY!! Bravo DSQUARED!!  But wait, $901 for these? Ladies, I present to you, the CHEAPER TWIN!! 

Only $68!! Just add a couple crystals and these will look pretty similar to the DSQUARED pumps! It pretty much has al the same elements and is oh so much cheaper!!
